David M. Frye, DVM, graduated in the top 10% of his class from Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. Prior to that, Dr. Frye obtained a Bachelor's of Art, majoring in Philosophy from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
He opened Milan Area Animal Hospital in 2003, focusing on providing the highest quality of medicine with compassion and honesty to Milan and the surrounding area. Dr. Frye's philosophy regarding veterinary medicine is that he is first and foremost the pet's advocate, then a teacher, then the client's friend. It is Dr. Frye's obligation to thoroughly examine your furry friend and decipher the specific needs of each pet. Then he will explain to you exactly what is going on with your animal's health and what needs to be done, offering all reasonable options. Finally, he will work with you to come up with a realistic plan that best fits the needs of both you and your pet.
It is Milan Area Animal Hospital's hope that you will give us the opportunity to show you the high level of medical care, compassion, and professionalism we have to offer. We are confident that you will be pleased and will refer family and friends.
In order to continually improve our services to our clients and their pets, in 2004, we added Laser to our surgical suite, offering a less painful and more beneficial option to our surgery patients. In the summer of 2010, the clinic added the COMPANION Therapy Laser; which offers drug-free, surgery-free, and pain-free relief for your companion. In 2015, we upgraded our lab with the addition of the state of the art Heska Element HT5® Hematology Analyzer, giving us more thorough information for more accurate diagnoses and the most effective treatment. We also added the Heska Element® DC Chemistry Analyzer, giving us more flexibility with our blood tests and quicker results. Then in 2016, we added to our lab again, with the addition of the Heska Element i®, with the ability to do in-house thyroid testing. With this upgraded lab equipment, digital x-rays, and our VetPro 5000® Dental Delivery System you will get the best treatment for your beloved pet.
